Family-Health Tree Is Critical

Finding out about your family’s health history could literally save your life and your children’s lives. Next, contact the National Genealogical Society. The Society has a wealth of resources and will send copies of articles on genealogy, refer you to books in the library, and suggest other sources. For your immediate benefit, women should focus on histories of heart disease, breast cancer and osteoporosis, the three major causes of health problems and death among women. According to The Women’s Health Initiative, one of the first major studies of women’s health, a family history of any the above increases your risk factor of contracting them.
